As we know, Malay is the major race in Malaysia and Malay have a lot of traditional food such as “Nasi Lemak”, “Satay” and “Nasi Goreng Kampung”. As a VU student in JB, you have the opportunities to enjoy a lot of Malay traditional food and the restaurant is also nearby the college.

Western Cuisine

Western foods are said to be accepted by everyone. Hence, if you are homesick or not adapt to local foods, you may go for western foods as there are also a lot of western restaurants nearby the college. Most of the menu of western restaurants are exactly the same with western country such as Grilled Chicken Chop, Steak, Fish and Chips and so on which enable you to relish the taste of your country.

Japanese Cuisine

Japanese cuisine incorporate with multiple choices of foods such as Ramen, Bento, Sushi, Okonomiyaki and so on. Fortunately, all of these Japanese foods are available in Taman Mount Austin. Majority of the Japanese restaurants surrounded the college are offering set meals which can helps to lighten the puzzles and spending of the students.

Korean Cuisine

More and more Korean restaurants are opening at Taman Mount Austin. If you are fond of spicy foods, Korean foods will be the best choices for you to attempt. As a student study in Sunway College, you are able to try out variety of authentic korean foods without travelling to korea as almost every korean restaurants opening at Taman Mount Austin are owned and operated by korean.

Play the Golf Whenever You Want to Play

There have a golf course nearby college. If you are interested with playing golf or you have never been play golf before, there will be a nice place for you to learn how to play golf. Not only that, the weather of Malaysia is known as summer all the year, therefore the four seasons problem that not allow you to play golf at outdoor will not be a problem at here. In addition, there is a golf lesson provided.

Opportunity to Learn Different Languages

Malaysia is a multi language country as most of the people know at least 3 languages such as Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. Staying abroad offers much more than the opportunity to learn a language. You can expect the adantage to continue when you return home or for the future business.  The alternative way to learn a language is to live with the people who speak it every day. Therefore, as an exchange student, you have an opportunity to learn different languages from your classmate and teach them your mother language as well.

English Imperative in Malaysia

The English literacy rate is relatively very commendable in Malaysia. As the most of the public is able to speak in simple English and communicate fluently with foreigners and international students. Furthermore, due to the diversity of people, international students can actually learn different local languages such as Malay, Chinese and Tamil, too.
